Conference Buddy is dedicated to providing a harassment-free environment for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion (or lack thereof), or technology choices. Harassment of participants in any form will not be tolerated. Anyone who violates this may be sanctioned or expelled from this space.
What does “Harassment” mean?
Harassment includes besides obvious threats of violence: offensive verbal comments related to gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion, technology choices, sexual images in public spaces, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention.
Where do I get help and support?
If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact someone from the staff immediately. Same goes if you’re feeling uncomfortable and / or unsure if you’re being harassed - contact and ask for support!
Where does this apply?
Everyone who takes part Conference Buddy is expected to follow these rules. This applys to all conversation in this forum and of course to behavior on events when acting as a Conference Buddy.
